DESCRIPTION:
WW - Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust, ref 1601, circa 1974, 36mm x 45mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original two-tone stainless steel screw back Oyster case with an 18K yellow gold fluted bezel, earlier two-tone 14K gold and stainless steel Jubilee bracelet, original blue "Mosaic" step dial with applied gold baton indices, 26J cal 1570, s#3441039, triple signed, inside back ref 1601.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide, very light wear to brass on leading edge of plate; excellent dial with oil spots at 6, 9 and at the center near the hands as well as a smudge of some material (possibly lume) on the O in "chronometer"; nearly mint gold hands; polished case shows light wear, still retains some of original factory finishing, light dings on the backs of the lugs from being worn on a bracelet; refinished and tightened bracelet shows light wear, rough laser welds visible on the backs of the gold Jubilee links, incredibly tight and ready for every day wear; original signed crown shows little wear, good threads; good crystal; resealed for auction.
